At the theme park in winter
The colours are still there
Though the fountain we jumped in last summer
Is under the snow
The gates are all locked now
Though I’d love to be inside
Holding your hand
And walking with you
I watch a crow glide
Giving its weight to
Invisible airflows to carry and hold
We too are borne by
So much that we can’t see
Or even begin to explain
Twisting teal tracks rise
Above a pale sky
Frost licks the fruit
Of an unearthly tree
Under the grey we all wait to arise
Anticipation, sweet as icecream
At the theme park in winter
You can remember the scent
Of candy floss and the cries
Of the people enjoying the rides
But it’s here in the winter
I feel this strange peace
I feel free, and I wish you were here
Walking with me
Walking with me
Walk here with me
Where
Twisting teal tracks rise
Above a pale sky
Frost licks the fruit
Of an unearthly tree
Under the grey we all wait to arise
Anticipation, sweet as icecream
Walk here with me (...)
